Analog Vibes, il ruggito di “Not A Variable"

Si intitola Not A Variable il nuovo singolo degli Analog Vibes: progetto italiano composto dai musicisti Pietro Venezia (tastiera) e Mauro Roberto Guarnieri (chitarra); il brano vede inoltre la collaborazione di Glenda Taccone Gallucci al testo e l'interpretazione di Glenn Welman alla batteria e di Lukky alla voce.

L'apertura ci sorprende con un energico riff di tastiera e un incisivo assolo di chitarra introducono il dialogo musicale tra i due fondatori del progetto, anticipando la natura stessa del brano. Not A Variable racconta di una battaglia che tutti affrontano.

Affronta una battaglia universale: quella della crescita e della costruzione della propria identità., dove tutto è difficile: i sentimenti ti tolgono il fiato e costruisci muri per sentirti al riparo; tuttavia, c'è sempre chi cerca di superarli per aiutarti e tu, diffidente, non ascolti e cerchi di affrontare tutto da solo.

And you keep whispering whenever I get lost inside the haze:
“You’re not alone, even when you swear you are.”

Il ritornello ci fa capire che, forse, in quei momenti di debolezza dovremmo pensare a chi è cresciuto al nostro fianco, che forse si trova, o si è trovato, nella nostra stessa situazione e dovremmo ascoltare chi c'è e c'è sempre stato, in modo sincero, anche insistente, nell'abbattere quei muri.

Arriva poi la seconda strofa che introduce il rapporto conflittuale con genitori che ci fa sentire come un vulcano in eruzione

Ed ecco che arriva lo special. Qui la palla passa all'altra figura, che ci consola e ci fa capire che, un giorno, canteremo urlando a squarciagola in una macchina, magari ridendo ripensando al passato.

Poi un ultimo ritornello e, in chiusura, un nuovo assolo di chitarra, per ribadire il concetto in veste diversa. Non siamo una variabile: le difficoltà della crescita appartengono a tutti noi e possiamo combatterle insieme.
